ASD Success Stories
An injection-molding manufacturer needed to analyze individual
cavities on a complex mold overlaying multiple charts. We
quickly met the client's requirements by incorporating a
custom chart into the SPC1+ Enterprise package, which it
designed using ActiveX controls. In less than a week, the
manufacturer controlled its individual process streams
within each mold cavity, reducing scrap.
An automotive supplier using an HMI/SCADA system
wished to measure quality within its plant. By
using our SPC1+ ActiveX controls, the customer was
able to implement an advanced quality control system
while maintaining his existing user-friendly
HMI/SCADA infrastructure.
A maker of medical equipment asked ASD to help enhance its
overall quality. The manufacturer wished to combine real-time
SPC data from its internal shop-floor, out-sourced suppliers
and final product assembly.
A web-based front end was connected to an SQL database, making
on-site information available through a secure Internet server.
Additionally, suppliers uploaded SPC data, in various formats,
using a web-interface designed by ASD.
The manufacturer data-mined the collected information, reducing
costs and improving quality. The data engine allowed the
manufacturer to optimize the final quality of each and
every piece of equipment it produced.
While visiting each supplier's lab, a major component
manufacturer's quality auditor wanted to take measurements
directly from a variety of gages and store the results
in an Excel spreadsheet.
Using our Micro GageMux, he gathered data electronically,
slashing the time it took to audit each lab while
minimizing the possibility of errors.
